Katy qualified as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand in 1990 and has a background in acute medicine and neurosciences. In 1998 she moved to the United Kingdom and there gained international training in aesthetic plastic surgery, lasers, skin care and cosmetic dermatology procedures on Harley Street, in London.
Katy moved to Melbourne in 2006 and continued her practice with lasers, non-surgical and medical dermatology practice.
She has practiced as a Registered Nurse for over 34 years and obtained nursing registration in three countries.
Across her dermatology career, she has held practice nurse positions including the Skin Health Institute in Melbourne assisting the laser and scar clinics for dermatologists and registrars within the Institute and at the Cranley Clinic in London for Professor Nicholas Lowe.
Following a transition to advanced practice and a Masters degree in Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) Katy was endorsed in 2017 as a Nurse Practitioner. Katy holds an Australian Government prescriber and provider number.
